There are more than 400 types of seaweed available from our friends in the plant kingdom, each one offers its unique gifts. The variety we have chosen is seldom if ever used in skincare as it is so costly, taking 1,000 pounds of only the center vein to make 1 pound of extract. We originally looked at this plant for internal use because of its many scientifically proven health benefits.
One day while working in the lab I spilled some on my hand, my skin immediately became smoother and upon washing them my hands became even softer (seaweed grabs and holds moisture). Seaweed floats in salt water with the sun shining upon it all day yet remains plump and moist. Being similar to human blood plasma allows the vitamins, minerals and antioxidants to be readily absorbed. Science shows that what we apply to our skin may be assimilated up to 10 times more efficiently than if taken by mouth.
Our clients and our own experience shows the effects are usually seen and felt immediately and cumulatively. Our favorite product for reversing sun damage while helping skin to be more UV tolerant. This is the only variety of seaweed used in our products.
How to use Face the Day:
After cleansing and toning face and neck apply Face the Day, when dry spritz with Plump Up the Volume and follow with your favorite Simply Divine moisturizer.
