Pecans contain over 19 vitamins and minerals including vitamin A, calcium, potassium, folic acid, phosphorus, zinc, and magnesium. They also contain B-complex vitamins such as riboflavin, niacin, thiamin, pantothenic acid, vitamin B-6, and folates and are actually one of the very few sodium-free and fiber-rich nuts in the world. Pecans are often called the "AntioxiNUT" because they are so high in antioxidants like Vitamin E (specifically gamma tocopherol) and selenium which supports heart and respiratory health and helps with blood circulation by protecting blood lipids from unnecessary and harmful oxidation.  They also help manage cholesterol levels, boost metabolism, encourage weight loss, and are packed in protein and heart-healthy fats.

Cinnamon has been shown to lower cholesterol, regulate blood sugar, prevent cancer, relieve arthritis, anti bacterial, and boost brain function and memory.

Ginger is a powerful anti-inflammatory that has been used for centuries as a digestive aid, to combat nausea, and to lessen discomfort from cold or flu. It's anti-bacterial and helps to promote healthy sweating, a form of detoxification which is often helpful during colds and flus. It also helps in preventing the symptoms of motion sickness (especially seasickness) - including dizziness, nausea, vomiting, and cold sweating.

Dates are great providers of quick and instant energy and are digested very easily by the body. They are rich in dietary fiber and flavonoid polyphenolic antioxidants called tannins which protect against inflammation and oxidative stress. Dates have moderate amounts of vitamin A, B-vitamins, vitamin K, flavonoids like beta-carotene, lutein, and zea-xanthin, iron, potassium, calcium, manganese, copper, and magnesium.
