Figs grow on the ficus tree and belong to the same botanical family as mulberries.
They are a good source of potassium, a mineral that helps control blood pressure. Low intake of potassium rich foods, together with a high intake of salt in the diet can lead to hypertension.
One of the fruits with the most dietary fiber, figs help with weight management and digestive health.
Chop them or slice them and serve them over some coconut yogurt, fruit salad, or frozen desserts. Add them to salads, smoothies, or granola. You can also soak them and have them first thing in the morning with a large glass of water for improved elimination.

Our dried frigs look, smell and taste the way freshly dried figs should. Whenever you buy dried figs make sure they don't have any mold, are soft, and have a mellow, pleasant smell. You can keep them for several months in a cool dried place or in the fridge, well wrapped to keep them from becoming hard or dry.
